Liner bags

Liner bag for 20′ foot containers are made of laminated woven polypropylene. Container liners are used to protect bulk products, such as cereals and fertilizers, from contact with the surface of the container. Fertilizers, in contact with metal, cause corrosion, and after discharge, dust and ferocious residues remain inside the container. Therefore, after unloading, it is recommended to wash and dry the container in order to be returned to the port at no additional cost from shipping line. The liner also protects the fertilizers from moisture and its possible damage. Meanwhile, when loading grains into containers, the liner protects the grain from contact with the walls of the container. This is particularly suitable for the loading and transport of organic grains. Often, moisture absorbents are used in containers, which are installed in the container before the liner is installed.

When installing the liner, it is very important to install and support the door with a bulkhead, which will prevent the liner and the load from possible damages. It also will prevent cargo pushing the door out. There are several solutions here – metal bars or plywood shall be installed in a designated location. We would be able to choose between metal bars as a stronger option, but the economic version of the plywood installation is also suitable for cost savings. Plywood is often used for bulk cargo shipments without any liner.

Liner bags according to the size are usually for two types of the marine containers (20‘ or 40‘). We’ll have 20’ container liner bags on site. Liners for 40-foot container we will order, so there will be little waiting time until they arrive from the supplier’s warehouses.
