The conditions for the transportation of live animals most often depend on many factors such as the species of animal, age, health, route carried. The transport of cattle by road is strictly supervised by the veterinary services. The animals transported shall be subjected to various veterinary-sanitary tests, various procedures and examinations which make it possible to establish the state of health of the animals, to detect diseases or allergies, to vaccinate, etc. Sufficient hay must be prepared for the transport of cattle, watering must be provided on the vehicle. Special non-slip loading devices are used for loading and unloading animals: viaducts, tellers, stairs. All animals are fed and watered throughout transportation. Carriers also arrange stops at specially adapted stops so that the animals transported have the opportunity to relax.
For the transport of cattle and other live animals, we use only adapted vehicles. Vehicles have a suitable ventilation system, drinkers, GPS navigation systems. Vehicles and containers are cleaned, washed and disinfected before each shipment.
Carriage of bulls, cows, calves
In the process of transporting bulls, cows, calves, it is necessary to observe certain conditions. For safety reasons, adult bulls, cows are transported separately from young calves.
Transportation of pigs
When transporting live pigs, you also need to follow the spec. conditions. During transportation, pigs tend to overheat, so a favorable temperature in the vehicle and ventilated rooms must be maintained.
Sheep transport
When transporting sheep, it is recommended to choose the optimum air temperature, avoid frosts and high heat.
Horse transportation
During the transport of horses, the interior of the vehicle must be so prepared that the horses can lie down. Blankets, covers and other accessories are used to protect animals.
Transport of fish
The transportation of live fish in many respects is similar to the transportation of perishable cargoes. We organize transportation in such a way that transportation takes as little time as possible, we maintain the set temperature and other special conditions throughout the trip. Live fish are placed in special containers: pots and reservoirs filled with disinfected, purified water without extraneous odors and impurities.
Animal life in different modes of transport
The modes of transport by which we organise the transport of live animals are:maritime, road and air transport.
In the case of transport of bovine animals by sea, the animals shall be placed in specially constructed housings, holds or decks which have all the necessary equipment.
The transport of animals by air has quantitative restrictions. No more than two hundred pieces of cattle can be transported at a time.
When transporting livestock by road, we check for protruding sharp objects in vehicles. These and other safety measures aim to prevent the injury of the animal and the death of animals transported. Trucks specially adapted for the transport of bovine animals, sheep, horses and pigs shall be used and vehicles shall be cleaned, washed and disinfected after each transport.
