Veterinary certificate for export and veterinary entry document shall be issued by the territorial public food and veterinary authority (VMVT) or the border inspection post (PVP) in whose territory the products of animal origin are produced or stored. Veterinary certificate for export and veterinary entry document shall be issued after inspection by an authorised official veterinarian. Veterinary certificates for export shall be issued for exported, transshipped goods or as initial veterinary certificate, when transported to another EU Member State for the purpose of exporting to the Eurasian Economic Union from another EU Member State (as provided for in the agreement or memorandum) for animals, products of animal origin, feed and other goods controlled by the State Food and Veterinary Office. In the case of exports of animals, an Internal Trade Certificate shall also be issued.

The veterinary entry document (CVED) shall be issued following a veterinary inspection of the consignment of products of animal origin at the border inspection post. There are three border posts of the state food and veterinary service in Klaipeda: Malku Bay, Molo and Pilies.
